How to find Discount Hotels in Austin

January 31st, 2009 · No Comments

by Chris Linch

You can always find discounts on hotels in the Austin area including 4 & 5 star hotels. You can get up to a 80% discount off the rate the hotel charges when you walk in. Sometimes it is luck, sometimes you just need to do your research and you could land a fives star property for the price of a Super 8. You increase your chances of finding a good discount by booking early and finding an non refundable purchase rate ahead of time.

If you are part of a group visiting the city then you might be eligible for group discounts. They are usually offered when you are booking nine or more rooms, and everyone is arriving and leaving on the same day. Some of the smaller hotels will give a discount on less rooms.

Ten years ago you would have never heard a complaint about a hotel like this. The staff was very rude when questioned on why the internet was down for four hours. You know, I am amazed at how people actually book hotels based on the internet.

I feel like there are many other things that go into making a hotel a nice place. I personally like bars in hotels. I am not a big fan of the hotel internet, and I am known as a guru. I like to look for hotels close to fun things, that are relaxing, so I can enjoy my stay away from home. The last thing I want to do on a trip is burn my time browsing the internet.

There are many people who do not have a full understanding of how websites can offer cheap hotel rates online, especially when they are offering them at a lower price than the hotel. How is it that these websites really work, and is their rate really cheaper than the hotel?

Because I own one of these sites that sell your rooms at cheap hotel rates, I will tell you the sites are real. There are many things that go into the fact that the rates are cheaper than the hotel, but I will give you a few reasons why.

The main reason we are able to offer such cheap hotel rates is because we buy in bulk. We promise to fill a certain number of rooms every night to a hotel. We do hae some special methods to predict what kind of rooms we will need. We look at things like special events, when people travel, and other factors to decide how many rooms our site will book.
