I sometimes get asked to find hotels for people all around the country, as a result of my career and experience. Having been working in the industry for more than 20 years, I know a lot of places that other people wouldn’t know about, and I know all the best websites to use in order to locate the ideal accommodation.

The fishing off the coast of Sarasota, Florida is some of the top in the state, with a wide assortment of species and waters to explore. Sarasota itself has a unique geography, with Sarasota Bay at its core. The city also encompasses a number of barrier islands between the bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The chief barrier islands within the city limits are Lido and Siesta Key (key being the customary word in Florida for an island). In addition, the city includes St. Armands Key, Otter Key, Coon Key, and Bird Key. These keys are perhaps best known for their white sand beaches.

A major island which remains outside of the boundaries of Sarasota is Longboat Key. The island is divided by a county line which was put in place in 1921 at the request of John Ringling, of circus fame, when he began developing the southern tip of the island and wanted to steer clear of taxation.

Blackpool is a seaside town in Lancashire UK which rose to prominence during the 19th Century, and is believed to be named after a drainage channel which ran over a peat bog. The growth of the Blackpool exploded when the branch line railway was extended from Poulton-Le-Fylde which was on the Preston to Fleetwood line. This sudden influx of visitors arriving by train caused a many building projects to be started to build hotels and holiday homes, which in turn attracted more visitors.

During the 1850′s the population of Blackpool was reported to be in the region of 2500. During this period Gas lighting was introduced however piped water did not arrive until 1864
