When it comes to planning your vacation, it’s tempting to go the do-it-yourself route. After all, it’s easy enough to book an airline flight reservation. Why shouldn’t you also do your own booking for a car rental, hotel, or even a cruise? Here are five reasons why you should leave your vacation planning to a professional, full service online travel agent:

1. Terrific Deals

You can do your own booking, but you won’t necessarily get a low far or the best deal. Airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, and cruise ships count on people to make their own reservations and charge higher rates to those who do. Yet they don’t really make a profit until they’re completely booked.

Witness A Desert Dawn

by Wesley Mathews

It seemed unlikely 125 years ago when a lawyer from San Francisco named J.G. McCallum decided to trade his home in the cool, damp, foggy Bay Area for a different one in the Mojave Desert, but the developments of Palm Springs and nearby Palm Desert are two of the most coveted and fastest growing areas in Southern California today. Home to desert golf courses and convenient to historic Death Valley, Palm Springs and Palm Desert offer endless activities to vacationers and currently, there are some hot travel deals as well.

For example, today visitors can get great bed breakfasts. In addition, there are many activities for the family that are cheap, and in many cases, are free. Those who are interested in nature, such as discovering unique native desert species and the local ecology will find enough to occupy them for weeks, if not months. Palm Desert has also developed a thriving arts community, which is celebrated throughout the year.

DUBAI MARINA New Dubai Dubai Marina is one of the largest man-made marinas in the world. Without doubt one of famous locations which has taken design in the city over the previous 5 years, as well as the heart of ‘new Dubai’, it is the pinnacle of high-class living. The marina contains non commercial towers, departmental stores, resorts and numerous leisure alternatives. When finished, there’ll be more than 200 towers such as many supertall skyscrapers as well as it’s set to become the biggest man-made marina, a name presently held by Marina Del Ray in California.

THE BURJ KHALIFA Downtown Dubai Possibilities are you’ve looked at this supertall tower peeking out over Dubai’s amazing skyline. Created by well-known architect Adrian Smith when he was at Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, the tower became the tallest construction in the world in 2007. Pina Coladas And St. Augustine

by Wesley Mathews

It is inaccurate to dub St. Augustine, Florida as America’s oldest city. Native American mound cities in the Upper Midwest and the Anasazi Pueblo cities of southwestern Colorado predate St. Augustine by several hundred years, as do Mexico City and the ancient Mayan city of Tikal further south. However, St. Augustine was the initial permanent, declared European village in what is now the United States, established only a little over seventy years after Columbus’ historic voyage.

As you might expect, there is a lot in this area for the history buff, from the ruins of the original fort to the old town neighborhoods with colonial Spanish architecture and several museums. With an abundance of quaint, historic bed and breakfasts, you and your family will have no problem establishing a comfortable base of operations for your St. Augustine holiday exercusion.

Costa Rica is one of the best places I know for a romantic getaway. Especially for those adrenaline junkies looking for romance but mainly adventure. This is what an adventure romance package would look like:

As soon as you get to the International Airport of San Jose your private transfer will be waiting for you. Your first night in this wonderful country will be spent in a luxury hotel of San Jose and the rest of the day will be free. You will also stay in one of Arena’s best hotels of the area with breathtaking views of the Arenal Volcano. Your first adventure in Arenal will take place the next day and will be going on a great canopy tour that has been ranked as one of the best tours in Costa Rica. To end the day in a perfect way that same afternoon you will go on a hiking guided tour that will take you through the rain-forest close to the base of the Arenal Volcano and for a relaxing dip and dinner in naturally heated hot springs. More excitement will be waiting for you the next day. This is a combination of the exciting Lost Canyon Adventures Canyoneering and Rafting on Ro Balsa. Then To make your last day in Arenal super special you will go on a great hiking tour to where two rivers come together to form the breathtaking celestial-turquoise blue water: Rio Celeste.

The good news is that no matter what your financial budget, you’ll almost certainly find a place to stay that suits it. Cornwall & Devon both have no end of lodgings for the holidaymaker – Here are some of your accommodation choices:

Luxury & standard hotels Bed & breakfasts (B&B) Holiday cottages Camping sites

Much will depend on where you wish to be based, and of course what your needs are.

Cornwall & Devon have many reasonably priced Bed & Breakfast lodgings – here, you get a comfortable room (often the home of the owners which offers a very nice homely feel) usually with an en-suite shower and standard amenities such as (basic) TV. A choice of breakfast (traditional English or continental) is included in the price of the room and some B&B’s offer dinner as an optional extra. This is great because the holiday-maker has the choice of exploring the town and sampling some of the local cuisine without having to be confined to the B&B at dinner-time.

Accommodation In Vancouver

by Alfred Lancer

Downtown Vancouver is a good place to stay for just about any reason because of its’ convenient access to almost everything.

Finding a place to stay when you come to Vancouver can be pretty tight so you definitely want to make sure to plan your accommodations as far in advance as possible.

There are certain times that are guaranteed not as easy as others to find a place to stay like year round pretty much any long weekend and the summer high season from May to September.

By starting early you will have many options including luxury, mid-range and cheap hotel rooms and suites, vacation rental properties, hostels, guest homes and bed and breakfast rooms.

by Alfred Lancer

Wouldn’t it be great to show up at your hotel absolutely sure that you’ve book the type of place you really wanted. We’ve all been there. We have looked up hotels online and hope to book one based on pictures and descriptions that will make a nice stopping place at the end of a busy day touring. Then, after a long day of travel we show up just to find that the place is much older and run down than the pictures implied. And what happened to the year-round indoor pool? Under construction? It can be extremely frustrating to plan a vacation and have the most basic of arrangements turn out wrong. Where you stay can greatly impact the quality of the entire trip. After all, at the end of the day, everyone wants to retire to a clean and comfortable place that will serve as their home away from home.
