The 1st time I saw Cyprus, I quickly slipped heavily crazy about the area. It is a summertime holiday plus the great weather packaged with the calm, inviting waters of the Mediterranean were quickly fascinating. There is a close link between Britain and the Greek area of Cyprus so it felt more like your own property when compared to other places in the Mediterranean.

We appeared at Larnaca which is relatively well connected with diverse United Kingdom airports]. Our waiting taxi took us east toward our accommodation at the widely recognized resort of Ayia Napa. It has a warranted name as an energetic destination, mainly across the high season but we would reserved a 5* hotel around 2km from the centre at Nissi Beach.

Having it large in Cyprus

Cyprus is the third largest of the Mediterranean islands, and as well as offering gorgeous beaches and quaint towns, it is perhaps best known for its clubbing scene. Being located just off the southern coast of Turkey and to the east of Greece, it’s not surprising that average summer temperatures reach the mid-30s˚C, making Cyprus a perfect summer holiday destination.

One of the island’s and the world’s most famous clubbing resorts is of course Ayia Napa. Situated on the eastern side of the Cypriot coast, this resort has come a long way from its religious roots (Ayia Napa translated means ‘holy wooded valley’). Today the coastal resort offers holiday makers a range of touristy bars and nightclubs all of which are interestingly themed to stand out next to their competitors, the majority of which are located in the central square.

The situation in Cyprus

Cyprus has hot temperatures for nearly the whole of the year and is situated in between three separate continents. The island boasts beautiful beaches and clear sea and so it is no real surprise that it is so popular with people looking for a relaxing sun holiday. In addition the sun and the many beaches, Cyprus also has fantastic scenery with mountains and historic buildings. Cyprus has been in the media recently because of outbreaks of conflict due to uncertainty of its allegiance with either Greece or Turkey and this has made many think twice about a holiday there.
