On 1981 the Hawaiian Scottish Association was created this gave the chance for Scottish gathering and games. It is a non-profit organization that provides the Scottish community in Hawaii to participate in the educational and cultural activities.

One of the ways the Hawaiian Scottish Association will celebrate their culture and heritage is by sponsoring the 28th Annual Hawaiian Scottish Festival on April 4, 2009.
