Hawaiian Scottish Festival

On 1981 the Hawaiian Scottish Association was created this gave the chance for Scottish gathering and games. It is a non-profit organization that provides the Scottish community in Hawaii to participate in the educational and cultural activities.

One of the ways the Hawaiian Scottish Association will celebrate their culture and heritage is by sponsoring the 28th Annual Hawaiian Scottish Festival on April 4, 2009. The 28th Annual Hawaiian Scottish Festival will be held at the Willows 901 Hausten Street from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. There are a lot of activities that you will get to enjoy on like beer sampling, Scotch Tasting, all-you-can-eat Pupus, Scottish Music by the local and national artists, Bagpipers and Scottish Dancers.

If you want to go snorkeling in Hawaii, you should try the Island of Kauai. This is the best island to snorkel in Hawaii. There is the most diverse underwater population of fish in the world to be found here. The Na Pali coast is where you will find them. You can only access this area by way of water as there is no land route that will access this reef. If you are lucky, you may even get to snorkel with some marine mammals as well as viewing the coral reefs and fish.

Snorkeling in Kauai

If you are looking for the greatest place to snorkel in Hawaii, you will find Kauai to the one you want to head to. There is an area called the Na Pali coast and it has the most diverse underwater scenery than any other island on the planet. You will only be able to get to this area by water methods as there is no land access. There are many stunning areas with many different species of fish. You may even get lucky and be able to snorkel with some marine mammals as well.

Kauai is known for having the most protected reefs, which makes it excellent for novice snorkeling. The only requirements for snorkeling are basic swimming skills. Even so, vests are offered to assist with floatation. You do not even have to be outstanding shape to enjoy snorkeling. However, make sure that you check with your doctor first if you have any physical limitations. Basically, your snorkeling quest can be tailored to fit your ability level and your sense of adventure.
