Ten years ago you would have never heard a complaint about a hotel like this. The staff was very rude when questioned on why the internet was down for four hours. You know, I am amazed at how people actually book hotels based on the internet.
I feel like there are many other things that go into making a hotel a nice place. I personally like bars in hotels. I am not a big fan of the hotel internet, and I am known as a guru. I like to look for hotels close to fun things, that are relaxing, so I can enjoy my stay away from home. The last thing I want to do on a trip is burn my time browsing the internet.
So this review just comes in from this guy who stayed in Cocoa Beach Florida. The hotel he stayed at is a beautiful 4 star property connected to a surf store. I have been there several times. He rated it a twenty percent because the internet was down. Let me first tell you what he found good about the hotel. “The restaurant was excellent, the price was great and the room was large. I really liked that I could park on the same floor as my room, and the security system helped.” The only bad point this chump mentioned was that the internet was down.
If this is a reason to take points away from a hotel then I am a little disturbed. Now I understand people who are on business need the internet, so dont take this wrong. What I dont understand is these people were going on a cruise. If you are going on a cruise give up the internet for a night. I wonder if they will rate the cruise bad because they couldnt get internet in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
My point is that I can’t believe people travel to what I would consider paradise and complain that the internet is not working. They travel all this distance from home, and all they want is to sit in front of a laptop. Even at a beautiful beach. My feeling is I would rather the hotel not have the internet, then there is no risk of me wasting my time looking at it.
