Traveling to the Gold Coast is a wonderful way to spend a holiday. Whether you are traveling from somewhere in Australia or from half way across the world, there are many reasons that one may be drawn to a holiday in this spectacular region. While on a Gold Coast holiday there are three keys to having the best possible experience.
Balance Your Time- The Gold Coast is a beautiful region, scenic and filled with things to do. Having the best possible holiday experience means balancing your lazy days on the beach with days filled with activities. It is a delicate balance, but one that will make for the best possible holiday. Be sure that the day you arrive and the one right before you leave are lazy beach days. Trying to accomplish too many activities is a mistake while visiting this region. Alternate activity days with beach days and you will have the best of both worlds.

People work harder these days than ever before. If not physically harder then longer hours and we deserve a break from that once in a while. The majority of us go on holiday and we look forward to it months in advance and we plan for it even further ahead. Where do you like to go or what do you like to do? I personally prefer to go on a cruise and a Caribbean cruise is a good choice.
People believe a cruise, specially a Caribbean cruise as being expensive, and cruise operators want to maintain that elite image, but I see the cruise as being an up-market all inclusive holiday. In all probability, it is the original all inclusive holiday, because once you walk up and off that gang plank, everything aside from drinks is free. Everything and everything is first class hotel style too! We are not talking pizza and chips here, but five or six course meals and five or six times a day.

Many folks who travel by airline flights, cruise ships, trains, buses, or rental cars on their vacations or holidays usually book hotels or resorts as their preferred place to stay. However, it probably never crosses their minds about the possibility of their resort or hotel could have a fire.
Though fires in luxury hotels and resorts occur infrequently, when they do happen they can have serious consequences for the hotel and resort guests. When people travel they should take precautions and be aware of some basic information on what to do if a fire happens in their resort or hotel when they are on holiday.
First of all, when you book a room in your hotel or resort, try and get one that is no higher than the fifth floor. In case of a fire, many fire engine ladders can’t reach rooms that are higher. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

For those who have visited the White House or Hearst Castle and thought them to be grand mansions, think again. The Biltmore Estate, built in the 19th century by George Vanderbilt II, is three times larger than the President’s Pennsylvania Avenue digs. This stunning architectural treasure is a National Historic Landmark and one of the country’s top tourist attractions.
There are a myriad of activities available at the Biltmore Estate. Travelers can tour the mansion, which, in addition to rooms filled with priceless furnishings and artwork, includes 65 fireplaces, an indoor pool and a bowling alley. There is a winery offering tours and tastings. The grounds include River Bend Farm, which recreates a 19th-century farm.
For the outdoor enthusiast, one can take a float trip along the French Broad River, which runs through the property. There are biking and hiking trails, and fly-fishing, horseback riding and carriage rides all are available.
